Who We Are
J.L. Milling was started on June 17, 1990 by Jerry and Linda Schuring. We provide asphalt Pulverizing and asphalt Milling services throughout the state of Michigan and into Northern Indiana. We are secondary contractors on road/parking lot/bridge construction projects. We work within a 100 mile radius of Schoolcraft, MI. We have and will also travel further for specific state jobs outside of our normal service area. Customer services is our number 1 priority.
BIG MILLS/SMALL MILL
Cold milling machines are used to remove asphalt and concrete surfaces quickly and efficiently. In doing so, they create a level foundation with the specified width and depth that is required for paving new surface layers of uniform thickness. We have milling machines ranging from 2ft to 12ft wide.
We also can do centerline and shoulder corrugations.

PULVERIZING
Asphalt pulverizing involves grinding up two to ten inches asphalt, mixing and compacting it into a viable surface, then adding a fresh layer of asphalt on top.
With this we also offer brine or chloride options that we do as well. This is done on many county jobs we do to help with dust control. Brine and chloride also help compact and lower the freeze thaw temperature to lessen the freeze thaw cycles.
